Escaping to sunshine in the winter months for family pictures in Utah can be tricky. But as a Utah family photographer I love Snow Canyon for this exact reason. Family pictures against the red rock and in the sunshine creates the most gorgeous backdrop for family photos, bridals and more! As a Utah family and wedding photographer I feel so blessed to call Southern Utah home. From the deep forest greens, to the red rocks, we have it all!
Shooting at Snow Canyon
Expect hiking. I always tell my clients, and especially my brides to bring a pair of shoes you can hike in. You can always change your shoes once we reach our destination, but nobody wants to trek a mountain in heels.
Also lighting at each location in Snow Canyon is completely different. Which is why I always tell my clients to make sure you are on time for our photo shoot to make sure we don't miss prime light.
Where is Snow Canyon State Park?
Snow Canyon State park is about 15 minutes off the St. George exit, and about 5 minutes away from the Tuacahn Center of the Arts.
