As a Utah family and portrait photographer I have found that a lot of families feel stumped when they only have one child, and especially when the child is little. And a lot of times photographers can feel stumped when posing a family of 3. Hopefully this Cedar City family session will give you a little posing inspiration!
No matter what, during any kind of session, especially family sessions, play lots of games and have lots of fun! Little kids can get bored easily, and getting their pictures taken doesn't always categorize as "fun".
This is actually my family. My little guy is extremely active, hates to be held, and is a major explorer. Lots of tickling, games and funny faces were made in order to get him to smile and have fun! Photographers do not be afraid to do silly things to get your kids to smile. Trust me, your client would much rather you look like a fool in the process then to have photos of their kids looking like they are hating life!
