As a St George Utah wedding photographer this surprise proposal was a once in a lifetime opportunity and something I always want to remember. I have known Amanda since she was 12 years old. When her Mom called me I knew I HAD to be apart of such a special proposal. ❤️
Amanda had one request when it came to her big proposal night to Stockton, and it was that she had a photographer there to capture it all. Although she wanted a photographer there, she didn't want to know they were there. That left all kinds of nerves in my photographer mind. (Don't be seen, but capture everything as if you are 100% visible 😬)
We drove about 2 hours, basically rock crawled in a little Toyota Tacoma and then hiked 1.5 miles to get to Stockon's secret location. Stockton's plan was to convince Amanda to go "hunting" with him at his favorite spot (that apparently has been a special family spot for years). While he hiked around with her we would do all the dirty work. When we arrived we quickly set everything up and found me a hiding place in a big juniper tree.
The entire night was SO incredibly special, went so perfectly, and all around was a highlight night in my wedding photography career. I always want to remember it and I truly feel so honored to have been apart of it!
