As a St George, Utah wedding photographer, I am such a sucker for a special and thought-out first look! I feel like there are a few ways to perform a first look, but after photographing MANY of them this is by far my favorite way!

About a week prior to the first look, I have my clients write a love letter or a list of reasons why they are so excited to be married to each other. Then they bring the letters to their first look. Before they have both seen each other, I place them back to back and have them take turns reading their letters out loud. When they are finished, I count to three and have them both turn around at the same time. I love the genuine and romantic atmosphere that this creates! The photos are my very favorite!
