Desert Extended Family Pictures | Hudson Family
As a Cedar City extended family photographer I get asked what kind of photos are included in my large family photo packages. Truth is there are a lot of factors that play into the kind of photos we get during your extended family session. To name a few:
Size of the family
How many young kids there are
Must have photos grandma wants
How much time we have
I typically run through the "must have" shots first and if we have time for any extras at the end I always ask if anyone wants anything else. Some of my must have shots for extended family sessions are: the large family together, grandparents with grandkids, grandparents and their kids, just the girls, just the boys, each individual family, just grandma and grandpa, and the rest is up to what the family wants. Extended family sessions don't always get a lot of candid photos and those intimate moments that I get during a single family session, just because there usually isn't enough time.
The Hudson family session is a perfect example of a smaller extended family session. We were able to get all of the "must have" photos plus a few of what they all wanted.
